The ramblings of a fictional mind.

The ramblings of a fictional mind.

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

just that, the ramblings of a fictional mind.

"
To the thought
that carried
my mind away,
I want it back.
Beware the thought
that entertains
and where temptation takes you
for it may not be
the trip of a lifetime.

What a strange and wonderful trip ! What ever it is that you had before you wrote this, you need to share with the rest of us. Those ramblings... keep um coming

Thank you Bill, good to hear from you again. You have been missed.
I love how you depict the rambling mind (which I'm quite familiar with), but I beg to differ. Your poem appears to suggest that there are good rambles & not-so-good ones. As I grow older, along with my increasing inability to harness my thoughts, I'm also blessed by a profound lack of judgment (not becuz I'm so great that I never judge, but I just don't see things in those terms anymore). Soooo . . . just enjoy the rambles & stop worrying whether it will be the trip of a lifetime. I probably won't remember the trip, so who cares how I define it? (((HUGS))) Fondly< Margie

Thank you Margie
i imagine this thought as the serpent in the garden.
Take a bite out of this idea and you will end up out of paradise.
And then find out the thought was misleading you all the while.
