Just say I've gone!

Just say I've gone!

A Poem by andrew mitchell
"

Fictional scribbles.

"
On finishing unpacking her life
before her, she descended
the polished staircase wanting
to the grounds below of monoliths bare.
Through the evolution of life's moments
the Butler of Time asked.
"Will madam leave a message?"
"Oh", she sighed. " Just say I've gone!"
" For an indefinite stay, Madam?"
" How long is a long time?' she replied, " Just say I've gone!"
When death does become us
how much of life we will miss!

This is an interesting one, Andrew.....

It speaks to me of the way we want to make our departure from our life; to pack up our life's belongings and fade away quickly and quietly, no fuss made and no tears. Its probably the ideal way to go when our time comes, though it doesn't always turn out that way. I am pretty sure that when death does come for us, we'll miss what we are leaving behind, at such times i believe we will think less of ourselves and far more for our loved ones.

I enjoyed the depth of thought conveyed in this one. I hope all is well in the hills, Andrew. It was another tough day yesterday. Stay safe, my friend.
