The Lost Horizon between light and dark.

The Lost Horizon between light and dark.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

What lies beyond
the ocean's horizon,
but an orange eye setting
in the waves that seeks
the sail of thoughts
of day dreams, lost.
In my dreams I lie
a thousand memories away
to a place unknown,
but on reflection I find...
I'm on the other side of the mirror.
In the writing world -
a chasm of spells
along rainbow hues
where thoughts do fly:
my soul drowns in the inkwell
while my love swims
to the shore of paper's edge,
my heart that weeps
turns the next page
as the sunset casts
its shadow upon me -
a certain dark is needed
to see the stars.

we can't hide from the sun's eye...the stars are beautiful...but sometimes to see beauty we have to look through that darkness...
