Through your portal door of entry I saw.

Through your portal door of entry I saw.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Your love - a space odyssey,
and I, a floating monolith.

While I was surrounded
by your darkness
where you stood
your worlds below
looked quite beautiful.
Cosmetically, the universe
was your playground
as you dazzled me
with your silvery stars
and burning lights bright,
a comet's fair.

But looking back
via a moon's reflection
there was still a twinkle
in your solar eye,
and while you outwardly displayed
your big bang theory
in an outpouring of emotions,
a meteorite shower to name a few
You pushed me through your black-hole,
floating in a broken vessel
'til I was gone.

a very interesting metaphor for how love can use us up...if we fly too long in another's galaxy we become a burned out star, still reflecting on what could have been....but wasn't.

dear Andrew... we all will find ourself in the
atmosphere of ever after... among the stars
dazzled by a million wishes made and dreamed upon.
The phases of the Moon are like seasons of sweet diversion. truly, Pat
