Hide in your shell.

Hide in your shell.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Within the walls
intellectual ruins
once the roof of the cranial world
lies mind's castle,
but the windows open,
the thoughts have flown
leaving just memories
in a consortium maze
of moments now hollowed.

Well, we can always roll up our sleeves and rebuild; something new among the ruins, built with remnants of remaining structure. The finished product of our labors might be as beautiful as the Taj Mahal if founded with the same dedication and determination as that monumental labor of love. Shells are dandy accessories for slow moving critters like turtles and snails and crusty old crustaceans with snapping pincers. I can relate to that. But I think my "mind's castle" requires an eight lane highway through the middle for merging traffic and a few more road signs so I don't get off on the wrong exit. I enjoyed the read.

Thank you Fabian, I like your highway idea for the mind is like that and your imagery is spot on.
i really like this...and to me it is a reference of how little we want to think anymore...
technology does so much for us now that we have let our minds become lazy...
