What lies in love's shores a washed?

What lies in love's shores a washed?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

On the shores of love
a heart rolled out
from a shell empty -
now a hermit.

A great little piece of brevity here Andrew, so visual. Also high on pathos, that poor little hermit crab without a heart, living a solitary existence in his shell. Great metaphor for how some of our own species choose to live their lives.

love it! the shores the shell and the crab .... er ... hermit ... what greater force is there than the seas and love that can drive one to live a solitary life ... really like the mininalism .. the metaphors and images ... i can so see that empty shell .. and hear and smell the ocean ... a much more detailed picture inspired ..
