Beware the truth, it's out there.

Beware the truth, it's out there.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I decided I wanted
to be a professional liar,
and just lie all day.
Yep! Lie, lie, lie,
lie after lie after lie.
Well, that's what I thought.
Then one day the truth came out
and destroyed my career,destroyed everything.
I was getting so good at it,
I was living the lie,
and now I'm ruined.
Beware the truth, it's out there!

haha, good one, andrew. I was never too good with lying myself. I did it a couple of times but they had consequences.

okay Mulder...we have to believe it is out there...'
and just one truth can destroy it all...
and yes, so sad that some Careers are built on lies...
we have a professional one sitting in our oval office...kind of making that office seem a bit square these days.

A classic case of karma here Andrew. Bad behaviour can come back and bite you.

A lie is a trap.It always has a camouflaged friend with him, wherever he goes. It is the truth. Always ready to reveal itself. Literature in itself is composed of clever lies that secretly tell the truth.
Loved the idea of your poem. Great write. 👍
