The shadow snatcher swaps.

The shadow snatcher swaps.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The echoes of today
will be the reality
of tomorrow's calling.
Make sure your shadow
is here today
for tomorrow
you may find
your shadow is
somewhere else.
For this black silhouette
is not mine that follows -
a shadow having
a crooked hat
tilted forwards,
over slouched shoulders
a black overcoat,
and a dark cane.
I hear its footsteps
approaching.

Andrew... you have compared a shadow without
a dream to a life where touching is forbidden...
in a Garden blooming where fear is looming.
If only the sun would break through with a
cure to bring a world where we can be close and
pray in a Chapel where saints stained in colors
bless our souls and enrich our minds. truly, Pat

i could relate this shadow to the virus...stalking us...wanting to be alone without us.
