Inside the shadow of shadow.

Inside the shadow of shadow.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Did I skip a beat
when under the spell
of a lunar eclipse
for I have seemed
to come out older?
Did I live momentarily
in the shadows
lost in thought
even though I've been
around the block
for sixty earth revolutions?
Am I just a former
shadow of myself?
Maybe, I've always been
just that, a shadow.

We will all be shadows of our former selves Andrew. This pandemic will make us question so much.. Until a vaccine comes along our normal living will be drastically reduced. What freedom we had will be greatly impaired. Keep safe.

dear Andrew... reminds me of the song, The Sandpiper (movie)
with the words, "the shadow of your smile when you are gone...
will color all my days and all my nights". Yes, after this Corona Virus,
we will be a 'shadow of our former self'. I try to be positive and I am...
however, it has taken it's "toll" on many of us in ways that we never dreamed.
Most of all I feel so sad to see the world face such a time of uncertainty.
It is like being under the spell of a lunar eclipse. truly, Pat

Good to be bewitched by the lunar eclipse. Once I would watch by the sea and make outrageous wishes waiting for the lunar eclipse. Thank you Andrew for sharing the amazing poetry.
