I heard it on the grapevine.

I heard it on the grapevine.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In the currant news
another sultana fell foul
to breakfast as fibre intake.
Another grape raisin
changed his life around
to become wine
as did another grape muscatel
who decided to become fortified.
While grapes in their youth
are still undecided on what they want to be,
the vats are waiting for them.
Oh! More news on the grapevine
a grape who wishes to remain anonymous
has changed its sex and now is called Sherry
and no longer is tawny.
That’s all the wino news for now.
Merry grapes everyone!

Some amusing wordplay here Andrew. A very fruity offering and I have to confess to being a bit partial to the ol grape myself.
