Just another day at the office.

While the dagger used
sliced through the beauty
of innuendo leaving
the state of inflection
actually crying;
no one could withdraw
the sword of truth
from the stone of gossip.
The knights of the corporate table
governing chaos rode on
their bumper cars of love
onto retirement
for the maidens
did not play fair
on the carousel wheel
of jealousy.
Meanwhile, through the lands
of man's makings
Evil whispered in bridal fashion.
" All good deeds need a thorough bashing!"
But not today,
Karma stepped in.
" Shut it! You're nicked sunshine!"

"Shut it!" :)))))))) so simple eh!? that's really all it takes to stop the gossip train. fine work with the edges ..the stone ...the knights ... fantastic metaphors says i!? makes for a firm line drawn through the middle of your poem.... first 8 lines of the employees ....well .. i wish i'd have thought of them .. up on top of the heap ... your sarcasm and wit are honed to razor edge ;) and Andrew my friend..i am so grateful for a positive closing as Karma comes round to all equally .. way too much negative in our lives these days .. fine stuff says i!
