A hop, skip and a quantum leap.

A hop, skip and a quantum leap.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

A hop, skip,
and a quantum leap;
cosmic stars shine
through the microscope.
Aristotle's shadow falls
on Pythagoras theory
opening the key
to the Picasso mind
to the pyramids
of Dali's thoughts
where dreams fall
from the islands
in the deep blue sky.
One tripped on the cosmos
falling on the surreal
finding Nostradamus's footprints on
the universal path.
While pondering
on abstract memories,
a figure in a cloak
closes the door
to the astral world
taking the stars
and all that's new.
Outside the mind
rain pelts on the window
in the distance
a voice like
Carl Sagan speaks.
" To infinity and beyond."
"Take me with you."
But its only Buzz Light-year.

Little Buzz Lighyear is far easier to contemplate and remember than all those scientists and men of genius from days of yore. So easy, that children can grasp that understanding too. What lovely characters there were in Toy Story. A firm favourite in my family Andrew.
