The funeral exorcist.

The funeral exorcist.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The funeral director
banked on the idea
there would always be
a death in every family
but he couldn’t get
his head around
counting the ghosts.

It is true our life's choices travel with us whether it is deeds or lives lost. Excellent poem.

I like Margie have the same thoughts.

I remember how tough it was for my mom as all of her friends were dying....she lived to be 92, and my dad 98....so they lost most of their friends...

the ghosts are impossible to exorcize from the mind.

This poem reminds me of how it was for my mom when she was still doing hair in her beauty shop up until a ripe old age . . . her patrons were dying off, one by one (many had been her patrons for decades) & finally it got to the point where she had to retire becuz young people didn't get pincurls in their blue-tinted gray hair anymore. Hard to keep a count of all those stiffs (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
