Fragility lies
in fatality’s shadow
as your footprint
steps on time.

last two lines didn't match in number...i might choose "footprint"---

but alas, we cannot get past our own shadow, so we might as well step along with it...and be happy we have one.

Thank you J for the tip, any help always appreciated and for your words.
This title just stops me in my tracks. A million ideas come to mind, such as living in the past, being swallowed up by paying too much attention to what's behind you. I'm not sure the poem lives up to the fervor I got from the title. It might be a little too abstract & analytical for my feeble morning mind (not enuf coffee yet & possibly too much pot already!) Fondly, Margie
