At St Peter's gate for Pete's sake.

At St Peter's gate for Pete's sake.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Knock! Knock! Hello! Anyone there?
Yes! Who is it?
It is time and space.
We want to come in.
Time and Space! You can't come in!
We have neither the room
or the time to accommodate both of you.
But you must!
Sorry. You are all too big.
Go back where you came from.
Please let us in.
No! No! No!
Have you tried the other place?
He may help you.
No! We haven't.
Well, go to hell for Pete's sake!
As the door closes -
Who is this Pete anyway?
I don't know!

Knock! Knock! Hello! Anyone home?
Yes! Who is it?
It is Mother Earth.
Mother! What the blazes are you doing here?
I wish to come in.
Well, you can't sorry.
It's a flat no and you are round.
You'll just have to sit this one out Mother
with Time and Space.
Goodbye! For Pete's sake!

hmm, time space and mother earth come a calling. good old st. pete, the gatekeeper of heaven. he seems to have a better sense of humor than we give him credit for and justification for denying them entry - they are all pretty big. well at least it wasn't avon or a jehovah's witness knocking. you're too much andrew ... :)
