Hear! Hear! In a consortium maze of thoughts.

Hear! Hear! In a consortium maze of thoughts.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Within the walls
lies mind's castle
intellectual ruins
once the roof of the world
now views the sky.
The windows have opened,
the thoughts have flown
leaving just memories buried
where words are lost
on stories over the edge.

Words travel on thoughts
as thoughts travel on words
where meanings are found
centre stage.
Words gather around.
Okay places everyone
and remember your lines.

Softly walks the love
gently treading on hearts
most needed
leaving footprints
not forgotten.

Who cut the heart
that drained the love
to be stored in time's capsule
until Cupid's next visit
where the arrow
will shoot truly?
Was it Cupid?

Wisdom speaks
when the need
for knowledge
is hungry.

He who sits
on time's chair
will inevitably
lose his throne.

I don't know how I managed to get out of your maze of words. I thought I was stuck in there forever. Reminded me of Hampton Court Maze many years ago. It nearly drove me nuts:)

It would be easier for me to unpublished this I think lol.
Your maze of thoughts zeroes in on very relatable stuff ("intellectual ruins" . . . "thoughts have flown" . . . "footprints not forgotten") . . . but I am not catching the overall drift of your storyline & maybe this is to be expected when walking thru a maze! This feels like the random disconnected stuff that flows thru old synapses during an idle bit of pondering (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
