No message lost at sea?

No message lost at sea?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The bottle found
washed up the beach
that had been thrown
into the sea
many a yesteryears ago
had no letter inside
for a loved one.
For many who saw it,
it was empty,
but for those
who could see ....
the bottle contained
wisps of a dream, lost.

I can't read this poem without picturing a movie I watched recently: "Message in a Bottle" with Kevin Costner . . . how much importance this lady put on this message she found . . . the whole notion seems silly to me. But beyond details, I mostly read your poem in symbolism . . . how we each send a bottle out into the world & some of us write a long explanatory note inside while others just put invisible stardust knowing the right reader will be able to interpret (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
