In a starless sea a last wish.

In a starless sea a last wish.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Timeless yesterday’s
where eerie voices
of loved ones passed call
through lightness deep
where memories skim
the waves of life’s catalogue of pages
as thoughts tell of sunken dreams
while fiendish fogs
cloud the mind’s chamber
in an array of greys.
The ship steers on
to the forgotten isles
of time’s lost.
But one cannot sail
this ocean passed
for the winds of time
have changed it’s course.
In a starless sea
a last wish.

Amazingly beautiful, contemplative write Andrew! So wistful, musical in the grace of the lines and well-penned. This time of year brings so many memories to surface- joyful yet some infinitely sad. We miss those who cannot sit at the table with us, but we set a place for them in our hearts always. Happy, Healthy, Hopeful Holidays wished for you and yours my friend!
