When I grow up I want to be a poet.

When I grow up I want to be a poet.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

One day I’m
going to be a poet
but I’m not wearing a bonnet
to create a sonnet
nor will I make
a quatrain
from a migraine.
One day when
I grow up
I’m going to
be a poet ....
to be or not to be
that is a poet....
dreams,dreams, just dreams.

I definitely would not risk a migraine to grind out a perfect quatrain! My experience with writing is rather dream-like, when you come down to it. I spent my life undoing that "grown-up" BS so I could write in a more childlike & dream-like way (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thanks for the smile Margie.
I think you already grew up, andrew.
And have achieved the goal.
