Pennies from Heaven.

Pennies from Heaven.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In autumn golds
coins dropped
from the skies.
Walking in the park
people picked up
these golden treasures.
Marching together
in equality towards
justice and prosperity
the coins gave hope, courage, beauty,
and survival.
It was heartfelt joy.
It was the work of angels!
But for I,
I just placed the penny
in my piggy bank
not all that glitters is gold
they say.
