I had a nothing last night.

I had a nothing last night.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

It is with great regret
the dream factory
has closed down.
All dream works
have stopped,
no more dreams.
Dreams that are
nothing more than
wishes are gone.
The genie is dead!
Until further notice
have a good sleep.

Even tho Sami reads this as "a sad poem with hopeless regrets" (clearly in evidence) . . . I'm reading this as a step in the RIGHT direction. Once we release mountains of expectations drilled into us by hopeful delusional loved ones & years of media bombardment about what it takes to be "happy", that's when we can finally begin to observe life exactly as it comes & it's never as drastically disappointing as everyone makes it out to be (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

It is a sad poem filled with hopeless regrets. Very strong metaphors and wakeup calls from the dreamless state. May the New Year be of fulfilled dreams dear poet.
Wishing you the best and more of your creativity.
