The voice behind the thought.

The voice behind the thought.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

What is a thought
that has voice
but a thread of cobweb
caught by the breath
of one's speech,
torn from mind's moorings,
tossed around until
it drifts from the
sounds of thinking
and hearing
leaving us the memory
of the spider.

This poem reads (to me) like my own thoughts, bouncing around haphazardly until finally my mind settles on something for a length of time, allowing me to head in some direction. This happens every time I want to stop doing what I'm doing, but haven't yet landed on what I want to do next *wink! wink!* I've always wanted to describe this mind bounce, but you've done it much better than I ever could! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Like your poetic expression here Andrew in this short write.

torn from mind's moorings
