Who goes where?

Who goes where?

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In the balance
where darkness
has no light
so did light
have no darkness.
In the balance
who goes where?

If the shadow
that follows me
continues stalking
he shall have
a short life
on shadow’s passing.

The basis of your symbolism is a mystery to me, but I must read into your poem. The idea of "pure" states of dark & light -- represents the divisive rhetoric in the USA, in my opinion. The American people are centrist, but politicians hype up the extremes on either side to win their battles & implement policy that's too far in one direction or the other. It's not all black & white in politics, for sure! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
