Keeping up with the Steps, not the Simpsons!

Too keep up
with the steps of time
Don’t step there!
It could be your last.
Don’t step there either
it could be a mined or mimed.
Maybe, take one step forward
two steps back.
Dance to the steps of time!
No lessons required.
Don’t believe it!
But make sure
you stop and listen ...
there maybe steps following you.
Anyway, the rules of stepping
are quite explicit.
You step on someone
and someone steps on you.
Finally, one steps in time
until one falls.

I've been making an effort to be less political, but I have to point out how your poem harkens to the way everyone's gotten so vindictively political, they're suing people left & right over here. I wuz just thinking the other day how dangerous it must be, out in the world making a living by reporting or broadcasting or in any realm where "truth" has become a hotbed for debate & conspiracy theories. Every single day, you look at headlines & 2 or 3 new people are being sued for frivolous s**t. You really gotta watch your step these days. I'm glad I'm alone in the wilderness where nobody gives an armadillo about my steps (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
