Adversely affected.

The ministry of poetic justice today
slammed the twaddle with a paddle,
the show of words didn’t glow,
the candle on the mantle
in need of light for the fight
said the verse was adversely coerced
when the line fitted the crime
and the dime refused to shine.
Yes! When the full stop was dropped,
the flooring in the pouring collapsed,
the poem packed was ransacked
leaving it empty.
The fragility of it all.

Thank you so much Ken. I haven’t really been able to write this year as I have done from other years due to setting up aged care for mum which is on going and just recently our pup nearly died from contaminated water which resulted in Haemorrhagic gastric enteritis. Scary stuff! She’s better now thank goodness. Hope all is well Ken, see your works soon.
