Originally the word
Woman came from
the word Whoa-man
which signalled a lengthy pause
to take on the beauty
of her on display.
This word originated
from Wow - man
which was through
the emotions of man
as great shock and astonishment
on what do we have here,
looking in awe at her beauty
while muttering “ Oh my god!”
This had to be toned down
to silence the excitable crowd
and curtail man’s desire
so the simple word
was given Woman.
Of course if you
believe this
you’d believe anything!
