but a portal channel
in which the reader
on entry lives the journey
ignoring real life
for just a few moments
only to feed
the hunger of
a roving eye,
wherever it takes you.

The nice thing about posting my fantastical poetry is half the readers don't understand what it's about so I don't have to worry about being taken too seriously as poetry takes me on an orbital glide. I feel that, here at the cafe, writers are "letting go" more than when I first started here 6 years ago (a good thing). Let's just go wherever poetry takes us! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

I do have a laugh at my most abstract writings that maybe don’t make sense to many readers but they don’t have to, it’s a journey for the undertaking and you do come out the other side. I play on the macabre a bit because I like getting lost in where it takes me. Thanks Margie for your thoughts.:)
