Wipe your mind and come inside.

Wipe your mind and come inside.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The poem to read
is not the one
that thinks for you
but the one that
makes you think.
So reader come inside
my mind, make yourself
at home in the
reader’s chamber,
hang up your thoughts
and let go....
slipping into
another voice,
another’s skin,
another’s soul,
and let my words,
my sentence,
my stanzas take you
on a ride
in a carousel of
twists and turns
of a circus mind.

One of my favorites of yours, partly becuz I love the last half where you do pure magic listing/describing the tools of our trade & partly becuz you are the poster child for writing poetry that makes people think, but not trying to tell people how to think (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Wow thank you Margie , what a nice thing to say! :)
this is a fun ride...and yes, we welcome those readers in...then it is up to them to wipe their feet on the Welcome Mat, bring their own food and drinks and get ready for some
lively poetic diatribe.
