A war of words.

A war of words.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In the news today
War of the Worlds
was not an invasion
one expected but
due to the absence
of political correctness
at that time.
Someone called the trees green
which in turn offended the aliens.
This has sent H.G. down a well!
Yes! Well! Well! Well!
How green is your cactus?
Is now not on
nor is the green, green fields of May,
and or the phrase
“It’s always greener on the other side of the fence.”
Why you ask?
Because Aliens may
have landed that’s why.
You know, small gangly bodies,
big head, bug eyes,
and all green.
Yes! All green!
