The belief.

The belief.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

It was with disbelief
that a belief in a belief
could be eradicated,
many a war have tried,
and failed in the belief
that their belief would survive,
would you believe.
Anyway the belief lives on
in our modern society
hanging onto those
who need a belief.
Meanwhile, at the Annual God Convention
held this week apparently
heard on the grapevine
where all God’s were asked to attend
titled The twilight of the Gods,
the repetitive question
on every God’s lips was
Which God made man?
They all replied.
It wasn’t me!
Not me!
Me neither!
Don’t look at me!
Not me!
It wasn’t me!
It wasn’t me!
And it wasn’t me!
So no one would own up
to the mess man has made!
There was a belief
we would find out.
Furthermore, the Demigod
Hercules was unable to attend
and sends his apologies.
Goodnight!
