There was fire in the dunes.

There was fire in the dunes.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Absorbed by
your reflection
I cracked.
In the heat
of our reunion
I was the glass
only to return
to the sands
of time
when you said.
“In case of fire break glass!”
You always were a fighter
but I was never the match
to light your flames.
