Guess what!

Guess what!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The cusp of today
filters through tomorrow
leaving a pile
of thoughts gathered
yesterday.

It was anybody’s guess
but when your guess
was as good as mine...
Well! Be my guest!
A guess is....
as good as it gets
in guess what?

The crescent moon
and Earth
was the universal
question mark symbol
where the man
in the moon sat
contemplating, thinking
his next move.
He never did get far,
he liked it there
on the moon,
and he did see
the cat and the fiddle,
and the cow that
jumped over himself
and the moon.
He also knew
he would die waiting
to witness pigs that fly.

Meanwhile,
the pile of thoughts
gathered yesterday
are now wind blown.
Who knows where
they are.
