The whimsical ride in a world of writing.

The whimsical ride in a world of writing.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

In the whimsical
world of writing
one becomes
a castaway,
a stowaway,
a runaway,
a throwaway,
semi detached
or totally detached,
there lies you -
a cottage
of thoughts
reflecting self,
the fire burning,
the chimney smoking,
with pen in hand
and your faithful
shadow who stands by
watching your every move.

I think my shadow writes my poems...I am not sure I do.
