A pawn in the mirror cracked.

A pawn in the mirror cracked.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Your bridled love
flows from the heart
filled with pride
and prejudice.
The flesh you seek
is not of this Earth
but a shadow you see
on reflection
in the mirror
that is you.
Beware the eye
that follows
in your footsteps
you may not like
what you see.
For he who has
no shadow
comes from
the underworld.
