When the raven recites your verse.

When the raven recites your verse.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Fear not below
the underworld
while you remain on top,
until the raven recites
your epitaph
perched on your
tombstone grey,
when you no longer
own a shadow.

I love ravens & I love what they represent: the underworld. You've captured that spooky but undeniable magic here, right in time to synch up with me . . . becuz I have officially launched my Halloween-crazed rantings today. I saw the most amazing painted pumpkins posted by a friend on FB & that sight just set me off. Then I come here & see your poem about ravens. It's all got my giddy spirit flying on a broomstick now! Thanks Margie, yes it all reminds me of Harry Potter. If only we could fly broomsticks!
