The anointment of Karma.

The anointment of Karma.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

And who might you be?
I am Karma, my Lord.
And what do you offer?
I, Karma
taketh upon thee
to bring justice
for all those
who have been
done wrong, my Lord.
I see. Will you punish
these perpetrators
for their crimes
which have gone unpunished
where I have failed?
Yes, my Lord,
and furthermore
I, Karma will reward
those who have done good
beyond what was
expected from them.
Alright Karma
you have the job,
you may proceed.
Oh! One thing!
Can you start straight away?
Yes, my Lord.
Jolly good! I wish to retire
as of now, immediately;
its been a hell of a ride,
a blessed curse in fact!
Good Luck Karma!
I'm going on a holiday
with the Greek Gods
in the next universe.
It's very nice there!

I often ponder on this and the cycles of birth/rebirth - if it's lights out or whether we proceed to the next level so to speak and if we do, do we go and see what we think of as those lights go out - a massive depth of layers to this actually if one ponders but I will say concisely that this is a great poem to think on :)

Oh for a bit of karma every now and again, when we think justice has not been done. Smiled at this little write Andrew. Poor karma, I think a holiday is well over due, retirement even better as long as there is a suitable replacement.
