Love knows
neither age or sex
but money does,
and so we have
how lust entangles
young hearts
where only time
knows of wrinkles.

I am guilty of not taking this into account when I read young love poems that are filled with morphine-like observations about the other person. I conveniently forget how ridiculous I was many times, foolishly in love (((HUGS)))
