I am the ghost pen.

I am the ghost pen.

A Poem by andrew mitchell

I am the ghost
of pens that return.
I stand on the shores
beyond reality
skipping on the stones
thrown between the realms
of spirituality and mortality.
Here tattooed thoughts
from an anthology
of inked memories
mark the pages spent.
I live not in verse
but pass through
the meanings meandering
on the footsteps placed
before the word is read
and spoken.
Like all apparitions
of a poem that disappears,
one can hear
the ghost pen write.

This is beautiful Andrew :) What of the words penned as time fades like seasonal light...just lovely to read and travel through this piece :)

Many thanks Ruth for your kind words.
While I like the flow and loved the idea of what your trying to say, I couldn't connect the dots so my visuals could put it all together to fit the ending (punch-line). However, I'm sure many with enjoy it more than I did, because it is a very good poem.
