Tales of the unsuspected

Tales of the unsuspected

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Down from the heavens
came the verse
“You think it and I’ll say it.”
I like to start my story now.

Driving down destiny’s road
I came across this girl,
our worlds overlapped,
she said. “ it’s my body and other parties!”
I replied. “Wow!”
No I didn’t
I said. “Daring!”
You must be one
fabulous fabulist,
futuristic feminist with
all things corrected
and lashings of sex.

And that was that.
She left me because
I didn’t have a whip.
