Reading between the lines!

Reading between the lines!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

If only there was
a God of poetry,
a God of verse
then and only then
through reading the
mind of a poet:
his innermost thoughts
from the deep depths
of his abyss
he would realise
the plight of true love,
the disasters,
the tragedies,
the anxieties:
all Man made,
all destructive in nature.
If only he could pick
up on the metaphors,
throw away his clay tablet,
modernise his ways
then and only then.....
but alas as good as
poetry is....
we only have God’s
and Goddess’s
that write poetry
for now.
Amen.
Yes! Even a real God
needs to be versed.
