Lipstick smudged truth

Lipstick smudged truth

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Behind every fairytale
lies the truth,
another story
along the lines
of reality.
Strip back the layers,
crack that egg,
it’s not Humpty Dumpty.
Turn the page,
digest that verse,
the atoms of truth
are just elements away
orbiting your sensors
of reasoning
lying naked on a bed
truth awaits in
a ray of meanings.

Yes, I believe there is hidden meanings behind words in most poems.
Not sure everyone that reads a poem spends the time to digest it...
And, reading your poem again just now, I ponder whose truth awaits... The poets or the reader??
Love all your metaphors with the underlying meanings..Very clever write my friend...Very clever.
Lisa, finally the sun is out..
