the memories are long.

Not an expert by any means, but this is what poetry should do for mine. A brief and simple statement that evokes cascading volumes of meaning in the reader. I particular like the way the title, a snatch of offhand or overheard conversation almost, adds to the meaning of the three lines by contrast of tone. It’s the simple and everyday things, those ‘moments of love’ that matter. I always fall into the trap of trying to add more in my poetry and have to remind myself that less is more. Nice work.
