An interview with a thought

An interview with a thought

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Are you universal?
No. A universal thought is
a gathering of like minded
thoughts with the same idea.
So who are you?
I am a loner thought,
a drifter here in
the moment briefly,
only to vanish.
Can you tell me more?
Well, I appear travelling
along your consciousness
only to slip into
your forgetfulness,
unknowingly.
There in your unknowingness
is where I remain
in a state of detachment.
Sorry the moment’s changing
I got to go.
Will we see you again?
I doubt it.

there are different types of poetry...the universal kind everyone can relate to on some level...it is left open....and then there is the work in which the poet is unloading heavy thoughts only he or she is privy to.
But there will always be someone else who has been in that same place...
writing with total detachment ....almost impossible.
