Pouring wine on the grapevine

Pouring wine on the grapevine

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Hey Eve, these fig leaves
are so clean and soft.
What did you do?
I decided to do a stonewash.

Anything on the Sky channel tonight?
Just some futuristic drama
about the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
I think it’s a repeat.

Any post today?
Oh, just another God message:
Don’t pick the apples!
Not more junk mail again.

Eve darling, I’m getting hungry.
What’s for dinner?
Tonight, we are having spare ribs.
Oh!

Hi Andrew,
Another funny post of yours to make me laugh aloud..
Loved it..
I have tiny bit of critic...hope you do not mind?? If so just ignore me.
I feel that lines 4 and 5 might be better connected to one line... as it would read better.
Actually, I see this on verse 1, line 4 and 5 might be better connected into one line and verse 4 Lines 3 and 4 might begetter connected... as the Oh... on the final line would read better. Basically each verse being 4 lines..if that makes sense...
Enjoyed,
Lisa
