Must be my mistake

Must be my mistake

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Came across a mistake
the other day
but it wasn’t mine.
Maybe, I’ll find
my mistake tomorrow
amongst all the other
mistakes which
aren’t mine,
and that’s if
I made a mistake,
I could be perfect,
but I doubt it.

Who’s in charge?
You’re in charge!
I’m not in charge.
Oh yes you are,
Oh no I’m not!
Not me!
Not you!
Who’s in charge then.
I don’t know?
Me neither.
Don’t look at me!
I’m not looking at you.

Has anyone found
my mistake?
Not yet!
Well, keep looking!
It’s got to be
here somewhere.

I think it is in your next stanza...the one you haven't written yet!
