A play on words

A play on words

A Poem by andrew mitchell

The poem rather bland
no emotions displayed
just a combination
from twenty six letters
placed around
a scramble on the scrabble
a play on words.

Reminds me of what I was aiming for with my Sweet and Sour Andrew. I really enjoyed the poem. The purpose of poetry, at least for me, is to provoke an emotional response. A smile is fine, but I also hope they sense the weariness behind the smile. This poem did that

Thank you Ken
I agree dear poet/ Emperor. Some poems can be so bland, they sound like a newspaper article; no emotions, no impact on the reader. They feel so shallow and leave us with tastless aftermaths.
Congratulations on your poetry and condolences on the Queen.

You are welcome sir.
I have search words for 50 year and I have found so many worthwhile words my kind friend.
We scramble words and we hope they are meaningful. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
