The witching hour news

In the witching hour news
all witches beware of
the Inquisition speed traps
hiding today in the trees.
Remember the speed limit
for the broom is
sixty miles per hour.
Also it has
with deep regret
come to our attention
that some witches are
still riding while
performing spells.
This is forbidden
and the evidence
is quite clear
seeing broom sticks
embedded in the trunks
of trees minus the rider.
So don’t drink and ride
casting spells.
Now stay tuned
after the news
there will be
a little old lady
dressed up as a witch
with a warty nose,
hunched back, and
grey hair to be burned
at the stake.
But it’s really
a kidnapped Pope
dressed up for
this Halloween occasion-
another little Catholic
with a bald head
getting some of its
own medicine back.
Goodie goodie gumdrops!
And finally remember
there are no spell checks -
a spell from me
is a spell to you.

I enjoyed this funny poem on witches. Especially the part about broomsticks stuck in trees minus the riders. Ouch. What a ghoulish sight that must be hehe.
