In the short of it! Absolutely nothing!

In the short of it! Absolutely nothing!

A Poem by andrew mitchell

Now you see it
now you don’t!
And that’s the life
of a poem for you.
Here today
gone tomorrow……
like all thoughts.

Does anybody have a light?
No! I don’t smoke,
and I don’t have
a penny for your
thoughts either.
That’s okay
they weren’t for sale.

So what is …
the moral of the story?
The moral is this,
we are given two ears
and one mouth
so we can listen more
and talk less…..
the silence is golden.

Now back to
the writings of rubbish
one has to sieve through
to get the drift
of any or all meanings.

It was all nothing
for nothing.
