Getting back to basics

Getting back to basics

A Poem by andrew mitchell

We dress to impress
only to find that
when we undress
for the occasion
we see our
true colours.

That’s right
our underwear
in all it’s glory.

Take the undressing
further and we have
two hot and sweaty
bodies indulging in
some hokey pokey.

Much later
we dress to suit
ourselves…..
take it or leave it
and the whole world
can take a running jump
into a freezing cold lake.

Nothing like this
happens at the nudist colony.
They wouldn’t tolerate
the cover ups!

hokey pokey hahahaha
maybe that's what YOU call it!
Nudity certainly is a great equalizer, fashion wise... but in all other ways, we become absolutely unique. Unless we have an identical twin, which I always thought would be fun ever since i saw a production of the prince and the pauper as a child (then the Parent Trap)
here is the deal, I don't want to sit my bare a*s on a couch where a bunch of other bare asses just sat, sorry. maybe I am fussy that way. I love nudity but not all over my furniture by everyone in town.
Sorry, I got sidetracked by your theme.
As to the poem, very simply, a tale of truth. And a truth you stand by- people who defer can jump in a freezing cold lake, right?
