Hangs in the balance

Hangs in the balance

A Poem by andrew mitchell

It’s rather symbolic
that the cross
we bear
hangs around
the neck
until death
do us part.

On the shoulders or from the neck... the cross we bear! Superb stuff for meditation. The cross is an earthbound thing and death the release that ensures that parting. The balancing act is more important than we can fully grasp but its there and distinct enough to make an approach. Many thanks Andrew this opens a door and opens an avenue of thought. Cheers.

Yeah, I can see this. Very cool, I like your thought process.

i went in a couple directions with this one...
I like the reference to the wedding vows.
Married to those burdens we bear...and they will remain until...well, until....
